Generic/Alternate Bluetooth Receiver for 8bitdo SN30 - Retroreceiver sucks!

Post by /classicSNESmini »

Looking for some guidance regarding using my SN30 with my snes classic - PSX and N64 games.
The only way to get the SN30's analog and R2/L2 buttons to work with the 8bitdo retroreceiver is to install an old beta version of the firmwares 1.05b and 1.34 for the gamepad. I was finally able to do this, but I notice tons of issues with lag, unpairing and range! THis sucks.

I'm going to be returning the RRs but keeping the game pads. I've heard it's possible to install a generic bluetooth adapter with the latest version of hakchi.

Does anyone have any insight into how easy it is - is it plug and play? Do I need to buy an expensive one for low latency? Will it have better range than the RR (i was getting a max of 8 feet...). Any other tidbits of info would be appreciated!
