I bought a 3DS XL with Pokemon Y still installed. If I format my DS will Pokemon Y still be there?

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

Just asking cause I'm selling it and want to know if I will have any problems. I have already formatted the DS but I'm not setting it up again to see if it's still there only to format it again
