I've had a Turbografx-16 Mini on preorder for a couple of months now. My preorder is still listed under my orders, but the page for the mini console itself reads "currently unavailable." What happened here? Is it possible that the US-market TG16 Mini has sold out on preorders alone? I'm thinking that's the most likely, as Konami wouldn't cancel the machine this close to release date.

If it's really sold out, I'm sorry for anybody who hasn't gotten their order in yet, but it's definitely an encouraging marker of interest in TurboGrafx/PC Engine stuff in the US. My money says that Konami only had a limited number of US-bound mini consoles manufactured, and is finding out now that they have underestimated demand.
edit It's showing at the below link that the TG16 Mini has gone out of stock repeatedly. Maybe Konami has underestimated demand by quite a lot.
