Brook MD/PCE adapter no longer working with Magic NS + 8bitdo N30 following firmware update.

So Brook released new firmware for their super converter duo MD/PCE to PS3/PS4 adapter that supports six buttons. However, since applying it I can no longer get my 8bitdo N30 working with it via the Magic NS adapter. Everything still works fine with PS3/PS4 controllers, so not a major deal for me. But I found the N30 to be as close to an original controller as I was gonna get.

Consider this a warning for those with similar setups, and a call for help if anyone has a solution.
