In search of a game

I haven't owned a ps2 in almost a decade almost but it's just been bothering me that I can't seem to put my finger on what the game title is, I don't think it's one of the mainstream fighters (i.e. tekken, sf, mk, guilty gear). What I recall from the game is that it was an arena fighter and there was possibly a single player mode where your progress through some sort of map? (like WoL style in smash ultimate)or something of the sort and I want to say the main character or fighter you default to had an overall red color. However I'm super fuzzy with memory so don't recall much else, just got random deja vu from looking at other ps2 games
