Wii Fit Question

I got a Wii a while ago, I’ve owned them before and found this a year ago at a garage sale cheap. I came across a Wii Fit at Goodwill, the boards are always easy to find but this has the game and on $5 how could I not get it. Now I’m thinking of getting plus if I can find a cheap copy. If I got Wii Fit Plus would all my Wii Fit data move over to plus or do I start off new?
