How tf do you beat Revenge of Shinobi?

How tf do you beat Revenge of Shinobi?

I can beat Shinobi III on Expert, but Revenge of Shinobi on Normal is just f***ing impossible. How do you play this? Gameplay is fun but goddamn Ghosts and Goblins levels of hard.
