Bought this PS3 Phat Model CECHL01 so I know that it had the "better" 65nm RSX. I got it from a local game store in my city and asked them if they refurbished it. They said no they only clean the exterior as opening it would void the warranty. I thought to myself how would it void the warranty if they're doing it themselves unless they're talking about removing the original void sticker which was crazy. Nonetheless I bought it for a good 70CAD and took it back home to open it up. To my surprise it was a bit dusty and the thermal paste was even worse. Didn't care that I voided their "90 day warranty" I knew I needed to open it up as it was an old console that needed to be serviced. Game stores should really look into fully refurbishing these consoles.
