Dreamcast crashes randomly

Previously, I disassembled and reassembled my Dreamcast because I was bored. Back then, when I plugged the Dreamcast back in, it overheated because the fan wasn't placed properly and was grinding. After that fix, it worked normally again. A couple of months later, the same problem appears and I haven't opened the Dreamcast again and the fan doesn't sound like it's grinding, it's actually pumping out air. What could be the problem?
