K4600 flyback bracket split

The metal U bracket busted on my flyback, when I pulled it out the piece in goes into split in the middle. It looks as if it was glued before? Im guessing it would be fine to just glue it together again and secure it with my new U bracket. Can I just crazy glue or is there something I should use for this instance, thanks!
