3ds Black Screens Help

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

3ds Black Screens Help

My daughter was playing her 3ds a couple weeks ago and the screens went black. The blue light and orange WiFi lights are on and I can hear music but the screens are not on. I can boot it in safe mode and both screens will come on but it will not boot normally.
Things I have tried:
Battery in and out SD card in and out WiFi card disconnected and reconnected Let unit die and then charge back up
