With a properly thick laminated overlay those holes wont be a problemYeh i did wonder that however wouldnt ot also mean the control panel is raise up almost 1mm and have a kind of rim all around the perimeter?. If that makes sensePotentially yes, depends how thick the panel itself is. Original Sega overlays tend to be pretty beefy.

You could always fill the holes with epoxy insteadHmm epoxy could be a good shout. Thanks
