Ps 3 overheating?

I have a ps 3 slim that has some problems. The first problem was that when I tried to start the console the cooler starts and after a few seconds it stops and the console closes. I renew the thermal paste and now the console boots but when I play a game it closes after 1 or 2 minutes. When can I do next and what are causes for my problem. Thank you.
