Browser won't open after installing update on Rpi4 running the latest Raspbian release from Imager (Oct 2023)

As the title says, I installed an update today from the Taskbar notification telling me updates were available, and afterwards the browser stopped working. I tried changing the default browser to Firefox and it still doesn't work. I click the icon and an hour glass shows up for several seconds, then nothing. Anyone know what's going on or experiencing similar problems? Bad update?
