Raspberry Pi has static IP but still getting DHCP IP

Post by /RaspberryPi »

Hi All,

I was hoping someone could help me, I have setup my raspberry pi and set a static IP in /etc/dhcpcd.conf as the following:

interface eth0

static ip_address=192.168.0.2/24

static routers=192.168.0.1

static domain_name_servers=192.168.0.1

For some reason, even though this IP now works, it still also has it's DHCP IP so I now have 2 IP addresses that I can ping and ssh onto. How do I stop it getting the DHCP IP address and just use the static one?

I have setup the Raspberry PI before and never had this issue.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks in advance!
