connecting Bluetooth headphones to Raspberry Pi 4 - what am i missing?

Post by /RaspberryPi »

Hi, I have tried for a while now, numerous tutorials on the internet and cant seem to connect my Bluetooth headphones to my raspberry pi 4.

I am just learning with Linux and terminal so not sure if I'm doing something wrong or the tutorials are out of date.

I was expecting to just pair my device and then listen to audio through the headphones, but it doesn't seem to be that easy.

Anyone know of a good tutorial that is proven to work to get audio working with a set of Bluetooth headphones?

EDIT: based on feedback I realise I have missed some key details.

The operating system I am running is Raspberry Pi OS Bullseye.

using rfkill I can see that Bluetooth has soft and hard blocked set to : no
