Getting an error saying only SFTP when trying to SSH into Raspberry Pi

Post by /RaspberryPi »

When I try to use PuTTY to login to my Raspberry Pi, I get a message saying "This service allows SFTP connections only."

SSH is enabled in the preferences menu. I know for sure I used to be able to SSH in because I have the setting saved in PuTTY.

The only clue I have is that at some point I did install an SFTP server, and I am wondering if I somehow messed up the configuration somewhere other than the preferences window that disabled SSH?

Does anyone know what I did wrong?
