Can I test MechaPwn by patching different region games with FreeDVDBoot?

Can I test MechaPwn by patching different region games with FreeDVDBoot?

So I want to test whether MechaPwn is working properly on a console, but I only have PAL (original region of console) discs on me at the moment. Can I burn an NTSC game on a disc with the help of FreeDVDBoot to test whether the console would read them? Or do I necessarily have to use legit discs?
