Xbox 1.4 with or without mod chip FRAG

Hi Team! I’ve got an Xbox with a frag issue. I’ve never seen one like it. If I have the mod chip connected d0 to ground it FRAGs. If I have the mod chip off it FRAGs.
If I leave it on for 2 minutes FRAGing in mod chip on/off and then power it off and on it works fine.
Any ideas what might be the issue? Temperature?
