3ds .CIA games working but not in 3d?

[Released: 2011] The 3DS is similar to the DS, but is capable of projecting stereoscopic 3D effects without the use of 3D glasses or additional accessories. A redesigned "XL" version of the console was also released.

3ds .CIA games working but not in 3d?

I just tried my first install with Radiant Historia (downloaded from 3dscia.com), managed to install the .cia and the game works fine but the 3d effect will not work in game (only for the app icon on the home menu though) and idea how to get the 3d working? I can't find anything when searching for this specific problem but to "use Luma3ds" which I do have but don't know how I'm supposed to apply it here. If anyone can help I'd appreciate it, thanks.
