PSP charging issues

[Released: 2004] The PSP is the only handheld console to use an optical disc format as its primary storage medium. Other distinguishing features of the console include its large viewing screen and robust multi-media capabilities.

PSP charging issues

So a couple months ago I got a lilac purple PSP-3000 from Japan, and since I’ve gotten it, It’s had issues with properly charging. At first I thought it was the charger that I got for it, it would occasionally charge if positioned just right but eventually just stopped. Got a new charger and it worked great, at least it did once. No position issue, charged fully. Tried charging it again after coming back from a trip and I haven’t been able to get it to charge at all. 1. Is this a battery issue? 2. If it isn’t, is there a way to repair this psp?
