How do I turn off Beacons?

[Released: 2005] As the second console from Microsoft, the XBOX 360 completely sold out upon release in all regions except in Japan. About 33% of all consoles became defective making it the most unreliable console ever created.

How do I turn off Beacons?

I believe I have an old beacon set up for Gears of War 2 and it send out a notification/invite whenever I sign in to Live. I don't know how to turn it off though, the page is blank/unresponsive. People on my friends list are starting to become annoyed with it.
