GBA not working after backlight mod

So, small issue with my gba. Right now, I’ve installed a brand new backlit screen for the 001 model gba that required soldering a wire to the second point on the power terminal. After shelling the thing back up, it worked initially, but after reopening it to make some adjustments, it wouldn’t turn back on (no light no nothing). The soldered wire came loose again and I can’t tell if the soldered area is the cause for this problem as it’s difficult to get a good look at it. The batteries are operational as indicated by a multimeter, but nothing else is working. Might anyone know a solution to this? I can provide pics if needed.
