PSA: "Incompatible" Gamestar HDD/Network Adapters may very well just not be plugged in correctly

This is just a quick ****post PSA.
I ordered a Gamestar SATA HDD Adapter off Amazon and set up my HDD with WinHIIP.
uLauncherELF did not recognize my Hard Drive, neither did OPL.
I tried basically everything and even checked if the Expansion Bay power delivery Fuses were burnt.
I ultimately took apart the adapter entirely and plugged it in "Naked" with no case in order to make sure the adapter was really in there and voila it works.
My PS2 currently looks like a Vietnam war victim with its insides on the floor and this is of course no permanent solution but I can rest assured I didn't buy e-waste.
