PS1 games HDTV fix

Can somebody please help run ps1 games on my ps2??
I am using OPL and have my games on the internal hdd. PS2 games work absolutely fine, but when start my ps1 games i just get a black screen with sound and I cant manage to fix it. (I know what the problem is, but I also saw people fix it with homebrew software)
The PS2 is connected to my 2017 Samsung TV via component cables.
Please help me
