GC dual causing short

[Released: 2001] The GameCube, with the Game Boy Player attachment, it is able to play Game Boy/Color, and Game Boy Advance titles. It's successor, the Wii, supports backward compatibility. Panasonic released a DVD player hybrid Gamecube.

GC dual causing short

Hello,
I've installed a GC dual but it seems to be causing a short. When I turn the console on the LED just flashes for a second then no power.
The short does not occur when only the QSB is on, which makes me think it is the main GC dual board causing the short.
I've re soldered both the QSB and main board multiple times, and tested for bridges with a multi meter, but everything looks clean. Any ideas what may be going wrong?
