super Famicom questions

A few questions here...I don't have one but I think there cool, and I want one for my collection/game room.
1) I'm seeing them on eBay for like 40$ is that legit? 2)can you play/do something that gets them to play American games? (If not I do have some sf games to play on it) 3) are the cables and such just the same as snes cables?
