"Head Leader" instead of boss.

Has anyone heard the term head Leader? I remember when we first got our NES in 1987 my brothers used the term instead of saying the boss of a level. I remember specifically call the bosses of Zelda this. Does anyone else recall saying Head Leader? I'm trying to figure out where we might have gotten it from.
