Weird issue on N64

I don't know where else to post this, so I thought this would fit here. Basically I bought a Nintendo 64 and everdrive 64 X7.
Everything has been working fine, but now as title says something is wrong with Donkey Kong 64. I've played DK64 with no issues, but just now the game started freezing. The first time it happened I was on angry aztec level inside the maze.
I defeated a Klump, moved forward and the game froze.
After that Donkey Kong 64 keeps freezing, one point at title screen. I started up mario kart 64, no issues there, tbf I did not play too long either.
I can't say for sure yet that this issue is tied to Donkey Kong 64, but if it's not I'll update this post.
Has anyone else experienced anything like this?
