Fortnite ‘Dead Game’ Skin Bites Back at the Toxic Meme

Post by PlayStationLifestyle »

Following its reveal last week, the Fortnite Checkered Past Pack is now available to buy in the game’s store. Arguably the biggest highlight of the pack is the outfit, which features a character wearing a tanktop with the message “Dead Game.” This Fortnite Dead Game skin hits back at a toxic meme.

If you follow the social media accounts of any large game, you’re likely to see commenters replying to each post with “Dead Game.” Fortnite is one such title, though I’ve spotted it with Minecraft, Fall Guys, and Apex Legends.
For whatever reason, trolls enjoy posting these replies and they are often “Liked” enough to drive them to the top of the list of responses, at least on Twitter.
The Fortnite devs are biting back at those trolls, even mentioning in the announcement tweet that the pack will deliver “the ultimate RATIO.”

The Checkered Past Pack is now available to buy for $3.99. Head to the in-game store to make the purchase. Note that this will be a time-limited skin and so won’t be around forever.
The Fortnite Dead Game skin isn’t the only newsworthy outfit recently added to the game, as Epic Games also offered Destiny skins during a special event. Dragon Ball Z skins had also leaked ahead of the big reveal.
