What’s this inside my super Famicom?

[Released: 1990] The SNES was the best-selling console of the 16-bit era despite its relatively late start and the fierce competition it faced. The console was able to run some of the first three-dimensional video games on consoles, beginning with Star Fox.

What’s this inside my super Famicom?

Post by /snes »

Image I returned my Super Famicom and got my money back, the graphics were all garbled. I offered the nice lady £20 for the box and shell and she agreed, happy days. I ordered the security screw drivers to open up the system. The plan was to buy a working system that didn't look as nice and change the insides.
I think the system may have been modded to run at 50Hz does anyone know what this circuit board is? It looks like it has been added afterwards. This system was bought in the early 90's from Japan to work in the UK with one owner before me.
I'm hoping I can remove it and return it to factory standard condition. I highlighted the part on imgur.
