Pi 2B good enough for pihole and PiVPN/Wireguard?

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I have a Pi 2B running Bullseye freshly set up with Pi-Hole for my home network, which is working great. I'm thinking of installing and running PiVPN using Wireguard so that I can make use of my Pi-Hole when I'm out and about with my mobile phone - just a tunnel to my home internet connection for more secure browsing.
Is a Pi 2B going to be fast enough to do this? My internet is FTTP, so it's plenty fast but I don't know what to expect from network speeds when outside home connected to the VPN. Anyone have experience of it?
Thanks.
