Anyone using PICOD and Pi PICO?

I am getting error trying to use PICOD and Pi Pico 2040.
I am using the information here : http://abyz.me.uk/picod/download.html
Using this module, the user is able to use regular Python and the Pi Pico. Unfortunately after an afternoon of trying everything I could think of, I am getting errors. The most notable is the "serial" error. For some reason, the PICOD script does not import Serial, but it uses it in the build. Anyway, someone much smarter than I will ever by will hopefully be able to show me the way.
