Xbox controller for SteamLink on Pi OS 64 bit?

Post by /RaspberryPi »

Hello!
My Raspberry Pi 4 B is running Raspberry Pi OS Lite 64 bit (without a desktop environment) and I installed SteamLink to stream games from my Windows PC to my TV. So far everything works well with keyboard and mouse but I would prefer a gamepad for gaming on the TV.
I have a wireless Xbox 360 controller with a detachable USB cable (I prefer to use it wired) and I would like to use it with the Raspberry Pi.
I tried to follow this guide: https://howchoo.com/pi/xbox-controller-raspberry-pi but it can't install the xboxdrv ("E: Unable to locate package xboxdrv"). I wonder if this is because the driver is only available for Raspberry Pi OS 32 bit? Is there a way to use my Xbox 360 controller with SteamLink on Raspberry Pi OS 64 bit?
Thank you in advance for suggestions!
