Pi 3B (not Plus) drops WiFI connection

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I have a dashboard running on a Pi 3B that connects through WiFi to an MQTT server running on another Pi 3B+. Everyday, the dashboard Pi freezes and has to be restarted. The last thing in the log is that it is trying to connect to the MQTT server. The MQTT server never goes down and is farther away from the access point than the dashboard Pi is.
Question is: Does the 3B+ have more reliably WiFi circuitry?
What I need to do now is detect when a WiFi connection is lost and reconnect. I'm new to Python, but not to programming. I'll figure this out.
