During the '93-'94 congressional hearings, did your Genesis get replaced with a SNES or taken away?

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

We all know about the debacle over Mortal Kombat and Night Trap for Sega. This is a thread about everyone's stories around the debate. P.S, if anyone worked in video game retail in the 90s, I'd like to hear customer stories about the violence complaints.
