Having a problem with VLC - Interface and cursor disappears in fullscreen.

I generally have to reboot between videos to get my cursor back. I'm using raspberrypi OS on a pi 4B. It's used as a simple living room media PC. I've used it for nearly a year without issue and this started about a week or two ago. I've tried checking for more updates and there doesn't seem to be any.
