8bitdo Adapter 2 not working with my PS Classic

Using a DS4 controller. I can get it to pair and the blue light on the receiver to stay solid. I have tried a firmware update and made sure that I set the input mode to PS Classic. Done a lot of googling/troubleshooting.. Still no apparent response from the PS. Please help!!
