Streets of Rage Modern 3D Third Person Remake, Yay or Nay? (just for fun)

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

Streets of Rage Modern 3D Third Person Remake, Yay or Nay? (just for fun)

Post by /genesis »

Imagine Bloodborne, except it's the alleyways from the first Streets of Rage game, you can choose from any of the original four characters with the same attacks from before but adapted to 3D, the stages are longer/more in depth AND you can still pick up weapons from the environment and from your enemies, which is something that Bloodborne didn't have.
Fighting Force 64 was the closest thing to a 3D Streets or Rage game ever to exist, but at the time 3D graphics were primitive and SEGA rejected the game (although I still think it's fun lol)
I think graphics have come far enough to do the concept proper justice, does anyone else agree? The likeliness of it happening is another story just curious to see if other people think it's a cool idea too, or should the franchise remain a 2D side scroller forever?
