Compute Module Connection Standards?

Post by /RaspberryPi »

I would like to know that I have a module form factor in the future. So the CM3 uses a SODIMM form factor, and the CM4 uses a 55 mm × 40 mm form factor with a B2B connector.
Is there a standard? or is this part of the wasteful economy of the pointless switching of form factors?
