Genesis 32x Expansion Unit

[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

Genesis 32x Expansion Unit

So, I posted in here before trying to find out what's wrong with my 32x, and as it turns out I have the combo of 32x model and Genesis 2 model that requires the elusive expansion unit (or Sega CD) to function.
Now, I could get a Sega CD obviously, but there's the stipulation that that would be quite the investment. So, is there anywhere reliable I could get an expansion unit or 3rd party replacement? It's not easy to find any listing anywhere.
