[Released: 1988] The Sega Genesis was Sega's most successful console; though Sega has never released a total sales figure quote. Several add-ons were created including the Sega CD and Sega 32X which extended its capabilities.

Retrobit controllers fail with original sega mega drive 2 model

Anyone else having issues with retrobit sega controllers? I have an original sega mega drive 2 that I moded for 60hz and region switch, i went through 3 different retrobit controllers and they all burned out after ~10 to 20 hours of work in total. At one point it just stops working and I can feel a burning smell coming from the middle of the controller lol... what is going on here is my sega console outputing too much power to it or is the build quality so ****? (the ones I use are the wired standart ones not the bluetooth ones)
