Missing sprites CBOX/NeoSD

Just got a CBOX and trying to play some games with the NEO SD. The games I got are already in the .neo format. When I boot the game the SNK logo does not appear and there are some graphical glitches. About 75% of the game loads with missing sprites on the screen. Is it a rom issue? Flash cart issue? Everything seems to work fine but the missing sprites. Help please if possible! Thank you!
