DS4 Controller Issue with Retroarch

Hoping someone can help me out…
I’m running Retroarch with Bleemsync 1.0.
Previously, I would plug in my DS4 controller via USB and Retroarch would detect the controller perfectly and all buttons would be mapped correctly.
Recently something has changed and every time I plug in the DS4 controller via USB, Retroarch detects the controller but some of the buttons are mapped incorrectly ‘circle’ is select instead of ‘cross’ and vice versa. I have to manually remap the controller each time I load Retroarch even though I’m saving the controller configuration? Anyone come across this issue? Thanks
