OTG Support: Autobleem vs RetroBoot vs Project Eris

Post by /psxclassic »

So I have used BleemSync in the past before on a $20 console I picked up. I ended up giving that one away after playing some classic PS1 games.
Now I found an unaltered new one with the original mostly not wanted games. I want to modify it to support OTG for the USB drive access but I’m wondering what’s the best minimalist approach.
I’m comfortable with just using RetroArch but want to make sure I have maximum controller compatibility via front ports or OTG as well as WiFi.
What’s the best route?
Autobleem or Project Eris kernel? Some other kernel enabling OTG and then using Retroboot?
Drawbacks to Project Eris? Ex: power off methods seem odd but understand if it’s to prevent data corruption
Drawbacks to Autobleem?
Thanks!
