I'd like to enter in the MasteSystem club (again), can you help me?

Hi everybody,
I was born in 1983 and had a Master System 2 PAL (I live in Italy) but had to sell it.
Now I'd like to buy one again. Can I ask you few questions?

1. Is it better to buy the standalone console and add new PSU, Joypad and cables, or to look for a "complete set"?
2. How do you connect it to modern TVs?
3. Do you know where I can look for a good condition one?
4. Does it need to be recapped/checked or something like that?
