RGB to Component

Post by /n64 »

Hi all,
I have a PAL N64 and my only tv in the house is a 4K 65" samsung.
It have these adapters on the back for component inputs (it's like 2 headphone jack that splits out to component, one for picture and other for audio) but unfortunately the composite only comes through in black and white even though the green specifies its to be used as video for composite.
Tim's RGB board should do the trick but I have not really seen any cables that go to component directly.
Do I need N64 -> scart -> scart -> component?
Alternately I do have the svideo cables so a retrotink could also be an option but costs a fair bit to get one to Australia.
Then again so I use the retrotink with svideo or RGB for better picture?
