Image way too bright

Post by /n64 »

The system worked fine just a few weeks ago, on the same TV and everything. Now, however, the image is incredibly bright, making it all look incredibly washed out, especially when there’s a lot of whites and grays on screen. I’ve tried two different AV cables, both looking the same. The problem furthermore persists on the GameCube. Both are PAL systems.
I’m genuinely at a loss as to what could be the problem. Has anyone run into similar issues?
