Resetting used 3DS game - Wrong language!

Hello,
after having bought a New 2DSXL recently, I started to build up my game collection. Today I bought Pokemon Alpha Sapphire and Lego Ninjago Shadow of Ronin 2nd hand. The games work fine. However, both games boot up in Spanish. My 2DSXL is set to English and all games have been in English so far. There are also save games on there. I figured that the previous owner's system language was Spanish. Is there a way to reset games and or change the language? There are no in-game options to change the language. I tried in the system settings to delete add-on and extra content, which didn't work. I hope I'm not stuck with these games in Spanish. :-(
