Couple modding questions from a new owner

Getting my new Classic tomorrow. With how cheap these have become combined with what I've seen the modding community deliver make these a no brainer pick up at this point. Few questions:
1.) I would like to retain the stock UI as much as possible. Is it possible with Bleamsync 1.1 to boot to the stock UI while also having all of the new games I add load in the stock carousel?
2.) Do PS4/PS3 controllers work with the stock UI with the latest Bleamsync 1.1?
3.) What's the best Repo for downloading the new games I want, and is there a certain format these files need to be in?
4.) When reformatting my USB for the new games, is there a preferred USB file format (exFAT,NTFS,etc.)?
